Rev. Shaji Chacko serves the New Exodus Ministries since 2005 along with his wife, Reena and three daughters Joanna, Joshna and Hebsiba. Pastor Shaji was born in Vellakulangara, Adoor town in Kerala to the late Shri KG Chacko and Smt Ammini Chacko as a single son apart from five daughters.

While growing up, he always felt the calling to serve the Lord in ministry. However, he never turned to God. During his academic and official career, he was an alcoholic and depressive man in nature. His mother's prayer was always there for his lifestyle to be changed. In 1990, he fell into severe sickness and all the efforts of medical science became unsuccessful. Later in the year, during a prayer conference in Madras where Pastor Paul Gopalakrishnan preached, he felt God touched him. He got baptized by the Holy Spirit on December 23, 1990, and miraculously began to speak in tongues for 20 days day after day. In 1991, God began to use him in prophetic ministry, healing ministry and delivering many people from evil spirits. Some of these believers still serve the Lord faithfully as part-time and full-time ministry workers in various parts of the world.

As a visionary leader, Pastor Shaji has a huge heart for people, young and old, from all backgrounds. He has a unique way of relating to people and carries a big vision in his heart concerning the Lord's work. Filled with a spirit of prayer, a good bible teacher and intercession, he desires to see every Christian as a true disciple of the Lord Jesus.
